It's Time to Celebrate: Indigenous Peoples Month 2024!
Hey everyone! October is here, and you know what that meansIt's National Indigenous Peoples Month in the Philippines! We're commemorating the 27th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA), and I couldn't be more excited!
This year's theme, "Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana" (Valuing, Nurturing, and Honoring Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Knowledge), is all about embracing our rich cultural heritage. We'll have cultural festivals, traditional music and dance performances, art exhibitions, and so much more!
The IPRA is a powerful law that protects the rights of our Indigenous brothers and sisters to their ancestral domains, self-governance, and cultural preservation. Let's celebrate our diversity and promote inclusivity!
